SUSE and Veristorm

SUSE and Veristorm

SUSE is the original provider of the enterprise Linux distribution and the most interoperable platform for mission-critical computing. It's the only Linux recommended by VMware, Microsoft and SAP and it's supported on more hardware and software than any other enterprise Linux distribution.

The SUSE and Veristorm Benefit

Through this partnership, Veristorm and SUSE make big data intelligence gathering more efficient and affordable with certified, open-source Hadoop and efficient data integration software on Linux. Customers can leverage their platform of choice, including IBM Power Systems built on POWER8 in little-endian mode, and IBM z Systems.

For IBM z Systems users, Veristorm has certified zDoop, the first commercial Hadoop for mainframes, with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for System z, the leading enterprise Linux solution for mainframes.

IBM Power Systems users can choose Veristorm Data Hub, certified with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for Power 12 on IBM Power8 in little-endian mode.

No matter which Hadoop distribution customers choose, including IBM BigInsights, Cloudera, or Hortonworks, Veristorm's vStorm Enterprise makes it easy to extract data from other sources and load them into Hadoop for further transformation and analysis. Veristorm's extract, load, transform (ELT) model makes it painless and cost-effective to extract data from z/OS sources like DB2, VSAM and IDMS, as well as sources like Oracle and other Hadoop repositories.
