Integration streamlines customer access to enterprise mainframe server data from Cloudera’s latest enterprise Apache Hadoop platform
Santa Clara, CA (April 23, 2014) — Veristorm today announced that vStorm Enterprise has been certified on Cloudera Enterprise 5, latest generation Cloudera’s unified data platform for the enterprise data hub. Veristorm’s vStorm Enterprise software provides Cloudera Enterprise 5 Hadoop users with point-and-click access to enterprise master and transaction data from mainframe servers.
Through vStorm Enterprise, customers can access the enterprise data in mainframe server logs, files and databases from the leading mainframe server vendor. Data is accessed in near real-time, through proprietary on-the-fly conversion instead of more complex Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. Cloudera Enterprise 5 includes robust security, corporate governance, data protection and management so that customers can confidently manage their data in a unified enterprise data hub.
“The enterprise data on mainframe servers enriches and extends the reach of big data analytics,” said Sanjay Mazumder, Founder and CEO of Veristorm. “Immediate certification with Cloudera Enterprise 5 provides enterprise customers with more choices to traditional data management by leveraging the latest technology.”
“We are excited to have Veristorm certify vStorm Enterprise on Cloudera Enterprise 5. We are seeing very strong demand for Cloudera Enterprise 5 as enterprises increasingly deploy enterprise data hubs in their environments, and having Veristorm be part of the partner products that are certified and immediately available allows our customers to take advantage of the latest innovation from both companies.” Said Tim Stevens, vice president of Business and Corporate Development at Cloudera.
